Fast EV chargers draw a lot of power all at once, which can strain the grid connection. REAP Battery systems store energy in advance and release it when chargers are busy. This lets operators add faster chargers without paying for costly grid upgrades.

At the heart of each system is a battery energy storage system (BESS) — a system that stores energy so it can be used later. It charges up when demand is low, then helps cover the surge when several vehicles charge at once. It can also work alongside solar power, so more of the energy you use is clean.
