Data Center Backup

Battery backup that keeps large data centers running without interruption — a modern replacement for diesel-based systems.

Data centers need power that never stops. REAP Battery systems keep that power running and can take the place of the older battery banks used for backup in large and shared data centers — with much less upkeep.

Each system can be installed in a weatherproof outdoor container or built straight into the power hall. The battery uses LFP (lithium iron phosphate), a safe and long-life battery chemistry rated for 6,000+ cycles. It runs cooler and more safely than older cell types, which helps keep backup power dependable.

Beyond backup, a REAP battery energy storage system (BESS) — a system that stores energy so it can be used later — can also support the wider electricity grid by helping keep it stable and easing the load at the busiest hours. A built-in energy management system (EMS), which decides when and how stored energy is used, also keeps an eye on the health of every unit in real time.

What this gives you

  • Reliable, uninterrupted power for critical equipment
  • Install it in an outdoor container or inside the power hall
  • Can also support the grid — helping keep it stable and easing peak load
  • Live health monitoring of every unit through the built-in EMS
  • Safe, long-life LFP battery (6,000+ cycles) that runs cool and stable
