A microgrid is a small, self-contained power network. REAP microgrid solutions give remote communities, islands and critical sites their own reliable supply of electricity — useful wherever connecting to the main grid is difficult or too costly.

Each system is built around a battery energy storage system (BESS) — a system that stores energy so it can be used later. The battery uses LFP (lithium iron phosphate), a safe and long-life battery chemistry rated for 6,000+ cycles. If the local power goes down, the battery can restart the system on its own, with no outside grid needed. The design is modular, so you can add more capacity on site as your needs grow.

Built into the system is an energy management system (EMS), which decides when and how stored energy is used. It coordinates power across your different sources, helping you use more clean energy and keep an off-grid site running steadily.
